Pendant ce temps, un an et demi donc, je me demande comment l'UMP et l'omni-président n'ont pas su faire plus de choses pour définitivement tatchériser et reaganiser notre pays.

Je sens bien que nos deux grands partis veulent imiter le système états-unien : primaires, président omniprésent, exclusion des petits partis d'un système bipartisan idéalisé, etc. Mais alors, il faut accepter tous les éléments de ce système : indépendance du parlement et de la justice par exemple.

I understand that our two big parties want to imitate the United States system: primaries, omnipresent president, exclusion of the little parties, etc. But, to impose that, you need to accept all the system: independence of the parliament and its members, independence of justice for example.

Ça fait un an et demi que Royal et Hollande auraient dû laisser la parole aux militants socialistes (dont je ne suis pas). Jamais les Partis démocrates et républicains (tout comme les deux grands partis britanniques) ne garderaient aussi près du pouvoir interne et des caméras de télévision leurs candidats perdants, même si la défaite n'est pas forcément leur faute.
